Appendix2. The diffrence between DPCS and DPCS Emulator
44
Item DPCS DPCE Emulator Notes
VSIOX1 As virtual input and
output of VPCPX2, it is
used with a rotary
switch, setting up.
SSIF1. DPCS Emulator does not have a rotary
switch of VPCPX2. When use SSIF1,
register SSIF1 at Serial I/O
configuration and Serial I/O Mapping. At
SSIF1 setting, you use #1 Block for recv
and send. (SSIF1 does not use #0
block)
Terminal unit of VSIOX1 is not available.
Isolatedn input of
VPCPX2
VAINX1 + VAMPX1 SAI02 module or SAIF1
module
When using SAI02 or SAIF1 to isolate
analog input lines, be careful to allocate
Serial I/O Mappings.
Note that FOUR SAI02 modules
correspond to ONE VAMPX1 card.
SAIF1 module can not be installed in
UIOU.
Linearization of
VPCPX2 I/O
Parameter required for
linearizing is set up.
Parameter of SAI01 is set
up.
Serial I/O modules (SAI01 etc) execute
linearizing process. Serial I/O modules
need the parameters, and you setup the
parameters and download the
parameters to these modules.
Pulse input of
VPCPX2
Select 16bits counter
or 32bits counter.
Only 16bits counter.
(SPI01)
SPI01 module has 16bits counter.
If application uses 32bits counters, you
reconstruct that application.
Pulse input of
VPCPX2
CAL setting
8th channel of PI slot
can be set as "CAL"
for time compensation
Pulse time compensation
is done by SPI01 module
CAL settings will alter all input channel
counts. DO NOT use CAL setting.
Pulse card error
of VPCPX2
VPINX1 card error. SPI01 module error. Error of either module is regarded as
both modules error.
Non-voltage,
Voltage pulse
input
VPINX11:non-voltage
VPINX12:voltage
SPI01 module supports
non-voltage and voltage
pulse input.
The module parameter of SPI01 module
distinguishes non-voltage and voltage.
And, the cable between a terminal unit
and an I/O base unit differ on
non-voltage and voltage.
Input of RTD VRTDX1 SRT01 SRT01 has some temperature ranges
preset in parameter. Select a suitable
temperature range that was used at
VRTDX1. If there is no same range in
SRT01 parameter, select the nearest
range.
RTD
compensation
Each channel has its
compensation settings
when using VTBUX
terminal unit
Engineering Tool has
compensation setting
menu for each channel
when using VTUBX
terminal unit
SRT01 module does not have channel
compensation function. Refer to Serial
I/O Setting.
