4-2. Driving procedures
Check that the parking brake is set.
Check that the shift lever is in N.
Firmly depress the clutch pedal.
Turn the engine switch to the “START” position to start the engine.
Check that the parking brake is set.
Check that the shift lever is set in N.
Firmly depress the clutch pedal.
Turn the engine switch to the “G” position.
The indicator light on the meter turns on.
After the indicator light on the meter turns off, depress the
accelerator pedal approximately half-way while turning the engine
switch to the “START” position to start the engine. (In extremely
cold locations, fully depress the accelerator pedal.)
Vehicles with a throttle knob:
If the engine runs rough, adjust the throttle knob to increase engine
speed to where the engine runs smoothly.
Pull out the throttle knob and
turn it clockwise to increase
engine speed.
To return the engine to the nor-
mal idle speed, turn the knob
counterclockwise and push it in.
After that, be sure to return the
throttle knob to its original posi-
tion before driving off.
