8-2. Steps to take in an emergency

Refuel your vehicle.
Loosen the air bleeding plug of
the engine side fuel filter.
Pump the priming pump of the
vehicle body side fuel filter.
Cover the drain pipe with a rag, etc. When air no longer comes out
of the drain pipe, the air has been bled. Tighten the air bleeding
plug of the engine side fuel filter.
Start the engine (P. 149) and check for fuel leaks.
If the engine does not start after performing the above steps, perform steps
through several times. If the engine still does not start, contact your
Toyota dealer.
After starting the engine, depress the accelerator pedal lightly until the
engine runs smoothly.
