8-2. Steps to take in an emergency

Park your vehicle in a well−ventilated area and apply the parking
brake.
Keep away from heat, sparks and flame.
Turn the engine switch to the “LOCK” position to stop the engine.
Close the fuel extraction valve (red) to cut off the fuel supply.

After you cut off the fuel supply, have your vehicle serviced by your
Toyota dealer as soon as possible.
If, due to a collision or similar circumstances, the fuel system may be
damaged, cut off the fuel supply, and contact your Toyota dealer to
have the fuel system checked for fuel leakage.
If you suspect the fuel is leaking

If you smell fuel or hear the sound of leaking fuel at any time or if
your vehicle is involved in an accident, perform the following:
