8. Smocking
Is not available for 16/18 stitch model. (refer to P.20 [Application of each stitch pattern])
To make the gathering:
Set the pattern selection dial to "8".
Loosen the tension of the upper thread and sew.
After sewing, hold the ends of the lower thread
as shown in the diagram, and pull up the fabric
in the direction of the arrow to make the gathering.
After making the gathering, sew the smocking
between 2 rows of gathering.
After sewing the smocking, pull out the thread
you used to make the gathering.
