INSTALLING VALVE COVER
1. Thoroughly clean all gasket and sealing material
from the valve cover and cylinder head; then using a
new gasket and seals, apply a small amount of high
temperature silicone sealant between the arrows on
the valve cover as shown and install valve cover onto
cylinder head.

2. Install cap screws and tighten evenly to specifica-
tions; then install spark plug wires, spark plug cover,
oil fill cap, and breather hose.

REMOVING AND INSTALLING
CAMSHAFT DRIVE BELT
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable; then loosen
the alternator mounting bolt (A) and adjusting cap
screw (B) and remove serpentine drive belt.

2. Remove the water pump pulley (C) and crankshaft
drive pulley (D); then remove the upper and lower
camshaft drive belt covers (E).

3. Remove the belt guide.
CAUTION
Do not over-tighten as rubber gasket will become dis-
torted resulting in oil leaks.
