Solution for Abnormal Operation
Basic Solution
If the air conditioner opertates
abnormally, these procedures are
needed to check prior contact
TRANE After-sale Service Depart-
ment.
A Unit Does NOT Work
• Check an on/off switch. If it is
on Off status, turn it to On
status.
• Check whether any fuse is torn
or a circuit breaker is short or
not. If it is torn or short, turn
the switch off then turn on the
circuit breaker or change the
fuse.
• Check the power current. If it is
not work, wait until the power
is back to normal. Then turn
the switch on.
• Check batteries of a remote
control whether they energize
or not.
A Unit Does NOT Cool
• Check the air lter whether it
is clogged or not. If it is
clogged, clean them.
• Check the set temp. whether it
is set too high or not. If it is
set too high, the set temp. has
to be set lower.
• Check a door or a window
whether it is opened or not. If
it is opened, close the door or
the window as it will seal the
cooling air inside a room.
• Check whether any heating
source e.g. iron exists is being
used inside a room or not. If
there are too many sources,
the cooling performance is
less.
• Check whether an object
obstructs a return/supply air
grille or not. If there is a
barricade, it is needed to
remove.
• If there are too many people
inside a room, the cooling
performance will be less.
• Check a selected fan speed
whether it is too low or not. If
it is set too low, change to
select medium or high speed.
