When You Think Your Air Conditioner Has a Problem
Symtoms Detail and Checking Points
An air conditioner can NOT sufciently cool a
room.
Is the temp. set appropriately?
Are fan speed and air distribution direction
set appropriately?
Is an air lter clean?
Is a propeller or a heat exchanger in an
indoor unit clean?
Is there any object obstruct a supply/
return air grille of an indoor unit or an
outdoor unit?
Is there any door or window open?
If a ventilation fan or a gas stove is used in
a room, the air conditioning system needs
to operate harder and subsequently caus-
es the insufcient cooling.
If the outdoor temp. is high, the cooling
from an air conditioner may not enough.
If there is a whirring sound occurred some-
time.
This noise will occur in case the refrigerant
ow in an indoor unit changes direction.
Connectors at a condensing panel are
loose.
An indoor unit is unable to receive the signal
from a remote control.
LED light is near a remote control’s signal
receiver.
Batteries of a remote control is not
enough.
For these following cases, you have to stop an operation and turn off the circuit breaker im-
mediately. After that, please contact your dealer to check.
When the wires are overheat, decadent or worn-out.
When there is some water leakage or water drop from the indoor unit.
When some refrigerant leak from an air conditioner
When a circuit breaker cuts off frequently.
When there is some burning smell from an air conditioner.
When there is an abnormal sound occurred while air conditioner is operating.
