Installer’s Guide
P. WIRING - COMMUNICATING SYSTEMS:
Use extra CAN connectors provided with communicating furnaces and/or SMART HUB accessories and eld provided wiring.
After installation, the installer must verify that the refrigerant leak detection system actuates all mitigating actions listed above.
The test can be initiated by shorting the two test pins on the header of the mitigation control board inside of the unit. The mitigating
actions will continue for approximately 5 minutes. See Figure 20 above.
If any of the mitigating actions are not actuated by the system during the test, please check the
following:
• All eld wiring connections should be checked against the diagrams in the “Field Wiring
Diagrams,” page 15 section of this manual.
• The diagnostic indicators on the mitigation control board should be checked against the
diagnostic codes given in below.
• Scan the QR code below for more information on eld troubleshooting of the refrigerant leak
detection system.

S. CONTROL BOX RELOCATION (OPTIONAL):
The control box may be relocated from the coil cabinet to allow
for clearance to braze connections, condensate connections,
or other space constraints, with use of extension kit optional
accessory BAYMCBHARNESS. To avoid puncturing
refrigerant tubes, it is not recommended to screw control box
to coil cabinet.
R: TROUBLESHOOTING THE REFRIGERANT
DETECTION SYSTEM:
If MCB is showing active alarm at startup:
Check harness connections at MCB and sensor. Wait 20
seconds to see if mitigation clears.
If refrigerant is detected, the 5 minute timer can be reset by
cycling power to the unit.
