Master Cylinder

Every week check
the
level
of
fluid in the brake
master
cylinder
reservoir.
The
fluid
level is
visible
through the
transluscent
casing
of the
reservoir,
do not remove
the
cap.
A gradual
lowering
of
the level
over a
long
period
is
caused
by brake
pad
wear
and
does
not require
topping-up.
A
sudden
appreciable
drop
in the
level
must be investigated, the cause ascertained
and
rectified
immediately.
On no account allow the
level
to drop
below the danger
line
on the side
of the
casing
(see
Fig. 82).
To avoid dirt entering the system ensure
that the reservoir
is
clean externally
before removing the cap. Use
only
new fluid
taken
fronr a scaled container
and
re-seal thc container after
