TEMPERATURES AND PRESSURE
CORRECTIONS
The maximum temperature of the air or gas that can be tested by the
Velometer
®
Anemometer is 250°F (120°C). When the temperature of the
gas inside a duct is appreciably different from the density at which the
Velometer
®
Anemometer was calibrated, a correction factor may be
needed to obtain the most accurate measurement. The actual velocity is
obtained by multiplying the measured velocity by a correction factor as
shown in the figure below.
