under each category.
Power Up
Turn the instrument on
by pressing the ESC-
ON/OFF key. The
instrument displays the
TSI
®
logo followed by
the model number,
serial number, and
firmware version.
The instrument will
begin in Survey Mode.
"Survey" will display
briefly then just the
survey mass
concentration reading
and response factor
concentration
(if enabled).
Power Down
To power the instrument off, press and hold the ESC-ON/OFF key
and release it after the 3-second countdown reaches zero.
Survey Mode
After Powering Up the unit, it will be in
“SURVEY” mode, data logging is not yet
enabled. Use the (ENTER) key to toggle
back and forth between the Survey mode
screen and the Survey mode menu. The
Survey mode menu displays:
• Real-time aerosol mass concentration
• Real-time aerosol response factor concentration (if enabled)
• Percentage of logging memory available
• Battery life remaining
• Time of day
• Current date
• Currently selected User Calibration Factors
