connected to the tractor's double function hydraulic output. Please note that in many tractors you should use
special hydraulic couplings recommended by the tractor manufacturer. If necessary change these parts to
those suitable to your tractor in order to ensure proper operation or the hydraulic system. The hydraulic
cylinder on the drawbar also requires an additional double function output.
Using the seeder fertilizer requires a 12 V electric connection. Electrical diagrams for the connections are
displayed on the following page .
The maximum lifting and lowering heights are adjusted by an electric valve (figure 5), which is controlled by a
pointer adjustment element located on the face bar of the machine (figure 4). The adjustment curve has two
hand-operated knobs equipped with magnets. The maximum movement range of the machine is adjusted by
using these knobs: one of the knobs adjusts the upper position, and the other adjusts the lower position /
weighting of the coulters. See section 15, Adjusting the working depth. NOTE! If the Nova Combi is equipped
with an AgromasterCan or Agrocont electronic control unit available as an option, a different method is used
for lifting and lowering. For lifting and lowering in such a case, please refer to AgromasterCan or Agrocont
guide book!
NOTE! When moving the machine, tractor power supply must be connected. Failing to use the electric valve
may lead to serious tire or coulter damage. When the electric valve does not limit the lifting movement, the
machine can be lifted so far up that the tires hit the coulters, and get damaged. IF THE ELECTRIC SUPPLY
IS OFF, UTMOST CARE MUST BE TAKEN DURING LIFTING IN ORDER TO AVOID SUCH DAMAGE.
The coupling box in front of the machine is equipped with light indicators. The green light in the middle is
always on when the machine is turned on. When the pre-defined upper position is reached, the upper red
lamp lights. Correspondingly, when the pre-defined lower position is reached, the lower red lamp lights.
If your machine is equipped with row markers, it also has a junction box shown in the figure below. Ensure
that the power cable is correctly connected: Red indicates + , Black indicates - . If your tractor is not equipped
with machinery power supply, it is best to use the battery for power supply. IN THAT CASE, PLEASE NOTE:
An extra fuse to plus conductor near the battery!
NOTE! If the Nova Combi is equipped with an AgromasterCan or Agrocont electronic control unit
available as an option, it has none of the controllers/switches described in this manual. In such a case
refer to the control unit manuals for instructions.
