of the modulation wave is 100 Hz. It can be change by multifunction rotary knob or press soft key ModFreq,
and then use numerical keyboard to input number and select unit soft key to complete the setting in PM mode.
Set Phase Deviation
Phase deviation indicates the phase deviation of the wave that has been phase modulated which relative to
the phase of carrier wave. PM deviation range can be set to 0° - 360°. The default phase deviation is 180°. It
can be change by PhaseDev soft key and arrow keys in PM mode.
Comprehensive Example
In PM mode, set an internal 200 Hz sine wave as a modulating signal, another sine wave signal with frequency
900 Hz, amplitude 100 mVpp as the carrier wave and set phase deviation to 200° at last, the setting steps as
follows.
1) Enabling PM Mode
Press Mode Shape PM to turn on PM mode.
2) Set Parameter for Modulation Signal
Base on the step 1, press ModWave soft key and use numerical keyboard to input 200 and then select the
unit of parameter to Hz.
3) Set Wave and Parameter for Carrier Wave Signal
Press Wave key to enter the carrier wave interface and select sine wave to be the carrier wave (the default
