1. Press and hold WX/ALERT for 2
seconds when WX ALERT is Off.
The radio turns the WX ALERT On and
the icon appears.
2. If the radio receives a 1050Hz tone, the
icon will blink every other second
and the alert tone will ring.
In the area where SAME is
broadcasted, the following is displayed.
3. When a WX ALERT signal is received,
all other functions are canceled and the
radio remains on the selected weather
channel.
When the radio is in Scan mode,
scanning the weather channel every 7
seconds, the SAME signal is not
decoded. To decode the SAME signal, the radio should be on an
active weather channel.
In order to stop the alert press any key. If you press any key
once more, the alert icon disappears.
The icon indicates the Weather Alert mode is activated. To activate
the Weather Alert mode:
