REASSEMBLY
1. Replace thrust sleeves if necessary. Re-
move worn sleeves by prying out with a
screwdriver (Figure 52). Replace pins if
they are damaged or worn and tap in new
sleeves.
2. Alternate knives and spacers on the
spindle, beginning with a knife. Serrations
on knives must face the same direction
(Figure 53).
3. Replace nut on spindle and tighten se-
curely. Install spindle on machine or care-
fully set aside on knife edges, bracing it to
prevent it from rolling.
