TROUBLESHOOTING‐continued
Theaugermotordoesnotfunctionnormally.
Iftheaugershaftdoesnotturnbutthemotorsarmaturetriestospinthenthisisasignyour augeris
jammed. Try toremovetheblockagebypokingatthefuelinthe drop tube. If this doesnotwork
thenemptythehopperandremovetheaugercoverandcleartheblockage(Note:Beforeremoving
theaugercover,disconnectpowertotheunit).
Makesurethehopperlipisfullyclosedtoengagethehopperlipinterlock.
Checkforvoltageatthe augermotor. Ifnone,checkcircuitboard fuse.Replaceblown fusewith1
ampfuse.
Ensuretheexhaustblowerisoperating.
Checkthevacuumhoseforproperconnectionordamage.
Bypassthevacuumswitchbyplacingajumperwireonthetwoelectricalconnections.Iftheauger
motorstartstofunctionnormally,
replacethevacuumswitch.
Checkthemanualresetonthe200°Fhighlimitswitch.Ifthe switchhasbeentripped,checkforthe
causeoftheoverheating.Resettheswitchandcheckiftheaugeroperatesnormally.
Bypass the 200° F high switch by placing a jumper
wire on the two electrical connections. If the
augermotorstartstofunctionnormally,replacethehighlimitswitch.
Iftheaugerisnotjammedandyouhavetriedtheotherpossiblecauses,connect120voltsdirectly
totheaugermotor.Iftheaugermotordoesnotwork,replacetheaugermotor.

FHighlimitswitchhastripped.
Resettheswitch and determine thecause.It is normally afaultycirculation fan.Ifthecirculation
fan does not operate, apply 120 volts directly to the circulation fan. If it still does not operate,
replacethecirculationfan.
Heaterwillnotshutoff.
Ifroomthermostatisused,makesureitisturneddownbelowtheroomtemperature
Disconnect one of the wires to the exhaust temperature sensor; the heater should then shut off.
Replacesensor
DepresstheON/OFF buttonto"OFF".If theheaterwill stillnotshut off,
disconnectpowerto the
unitandcallyourlocaldealerforservice.
HeaterFlamekeepsgoingouton"LOW"setting.
Iftheflame goesout andleavesfreshunburned pelletsin theburn potliner, thenthe fireisgoing out
beforetheunitshutsoff.
Onthecontrolpanel,
useHEATbuttontoturntheheatleveluptothenextsetting.Poorerquality
pelletsrequireaslightlyhighersetting.
Ifitisonheatlevel1,youmayalsoadjustthefuelfeedingrateslightlybypressingtheAugerTrim
button.
