What to do if my USSC Pellet stove will not light?
    • D
      David ReyesAug 16, 2025
If your USSC Pellet stove won't light, first ensure it's plugged in and the outlet has power. Next, unplug the unit and inspect all electrical connections using the wiring diagram. Also, check the fuse on the circuit board. If you're using a thermostat, verify it's set to call for heat. If it still doesn't light, it is recommended to contact your local dealer for service.

What to do if USSC Pellet stove will not operate when hot?
    • A
      agarciaAug 22, 2025
If your USSC Pellet stove won't operate when hot, first make sure the fuel hopper has enough pellets. Check that the combustion air inlet is not blocked, as insufficient air supply may cause the fire to burn cold. Ensure the exhaust fan is operating. Check the 200°F high limit switch and reset it if tripped, after it cools down. Investigate the cause of overheating. Also, check the vacuum switch by shorting it out, then cycle the ON/OFF button. If the unit starts, replace the vacuum switch. Similarly, check the exhaust temperature switch by shorting it out and cycling the ON/OFF button; replace the switch if the unit starts.

How to fix the igniter on my USSC Pellet stove if it will not light fuel?
    • J
      Jonathan BarrettAug 28, 2025
If the igniter in your USSC Pellet stove won't light the fuel, check the electrical connections, including the fuse, to the igniter. Ensure the igniter tube, which touches the burn pot, is not blocked with ash; if it is, remove the debris after the unit has cooled. Verify that the burn pot is correctly installed. If the igniter still doesn't work, replace it.

What causes the 200°F High limit switch to trip on my USSC Pellet stove?
    • C
      cbakerAug 30, 2025
If the 200°F high limit switch in your USSC Pellet stove has tripped, reset the switch and determine the cause, which is often a faulty circulation fan. If the circulation fan isn't working, apply 120 volts directly to it. If it still doesn't operate, replace the circulation fan.

What to do if my USSC Pellet stove will not shut off?
    • M
      Matthew GreeneSep 3, 2025
If your USSC Pellet stove won't shut off, and a room thermostat is used, ensure it is turned down below the room temperature. Disconnect one of the wires to the exhaust temperature sensor; the heater should then shut off, indicating the need to replace the sensor. Try depressing the ON/OFF button to 'OFF'. If the heater still won't shut off, disconnect power to the unit.

Why does the flame keep going out on 'LOW' setting on my USSC Pellet stove?
    • T
      Tracy RamirezSep 12, 2025
If the flame in your USSC Pellet stove keeps going out on the 'LOW' setting, use the HEAT button on the control panel to increase the heat level to the next setting, as poorer quality pellets may require a slightly higher setting. If it's already on heat level 1, you can also slightly adjust the fuel feeding rate by pressing the Auger Trim button.

Why is the auger motor not working on my USSC Pellet stove?
    • M
      Michelle WarrenNov 17, 2025
If the auger motor in your USSC Pellet stove isn't working correctly, and the auger is jammed, attempt to clear the blockage by poking at the fuel in the drop tube. If that doesn't work, empty the hopper, disconnect power, remove the auger cover, and manually clear the blockage. Also, ensure the hopper lip is fully closed to engage the hopper lip interlock. Check for voltage at the auger motor and inspect the circuit board fuse, replacing it with a 1 amp fuse if blown. Ensure the exhaust blower is operating and inspect the vacuum hose for connection or damage. As a test, bypass the vacuum switch by using a jumper wire on the two electrical connections. If the auger motor starts, replace the vacuum switch. Check the manual reset on the 200° F high limit switch. If tripped, determine the cau...

Why does my USSC Pellet stove door glass have soot buildup?
    • T
      Tammy EvansNov 24, 2025
If the door glass of your USSC Pellet stove has soot buildup quickly and the flame is lazy with black tips, the vent pipe (including air intake) may be dirty or partially blocked, restricting airflow. The intake butterfly valve might be set too low. Blocked burn pot holes can also be the cause; let the unit cool and clean the burn pot and burn pot liner, following ash disposal instructions. Check the timing against the timing chart; if the auger motor runs constantly, there may be a circuit board issue. Verify the combustion/exhaust blower is operating. If not, bypass the exhaust temperature switch. If the motor then works, replace the exhaust temperature switch. If the combustion/exhaust blower still doesn't work, apply 120 volts directly to the exhaust blower motor. If the motor still do...
