Why is my Utilitech UT2150IGPP Water Pump not pumping water?
    • J
      Jake CombsAug 10, 2025
There are several reasons why your Utilitech Water Pump might fail to pump water or experience reduced capacity. It could be due to suction leaks or a lost prime. Ensure the pump volute and trap are full of water. Check for leaks in the suction piping and make sure the suction pipe inlet is well below the water level to prevent the pump from sucking air. Replace the suction trap gasket if it's defective and confirm that the pump isn't lifting water more than 10 ft. Also, ensure the suction pipe is at least 1-1/2 in. in diameter. Another cause might be a clogged pipe, trap, or impeller, or a worn impeller. Make sure the suction trap and impeller are not clogged, cleaning them if necessary. The impeller and diffuser may also be worn, requiring replacement parts.

What to do if my Utilitech UT2150IGPP Water Pump is too hot?
    • J
      Joshua FritzAug 17, 2025
If your Utilitech Water Pump is overheating, there are several potential causes. Check the line voltage; if it's less than 90% or more than 110% of the rated voltage, consult a licensed electrician. Also, tighten any loose electrical connections. High ambient temperature could also be the reason. To resolve this, increase ventilation or reduce the ambient temperature around the pump.

Why my Utilitech Water Pump has mechanical troubles and noise?
    • A
      Ashley LaneAug 26, 2025
Mechanical troubles and noise in your Utilitech Water Pump can stem from a few issues. Ensure the pump and its piping are adequately supported, as unsupported suction and discharge piping can strain the pump assembly. Also, do not mount the pump on a wooden platform; instead, securely mount it on a concrete platform for quieter performance. Cavitation, caused by the pump sucking air, can also lead to noise. Make sure the inlet piping is submerged in water, unobstructed, and that the pump isn't lifting water more than 10 ft.

How to fix slow running Utilitech Water Pump?
    • W
      warrentylerSep 1, 2025
If your Utilitech Water Pump is running too slowly, check the voltage at the motor terminals and at the meter while the pump is running. If the voltage is low, check for loose connections.
