Engine designations
1. Basic markings: 320, 420, 620 and 634. The first digit indicates the number of cylinders and the two last digits the stroke
(---20=120 mm, ---34=134 mm).
2. Letters after the basic markings:
--- D=diesel engine
--- S=turbocharger (Schwitzer)
--- W=by--pass turbocharger, Delta turbo
(Schwitzer S1BG or S2BG)
--- B=Bosch P in---line pump
--- R=distributor pump (Stanadyne)
--- I=intercooler
--- E=low emission engines (E---engines)
--- C=emission tested engines (certificated).
