System requirements
File extensions
Up to three files are created when downloading data
from a digital tachograph. In compliance with the
regulations in force in the different countries, the file
name tells you
• the date and time of the download,
• the origin of the data (vehicle or driver) and
• (to some extent) the file type.
UTC time
In the digital tachograph, all times are stored in UTC time
(Coordinated Universal Time based on the time zone “0",
previously referred to as Greenwich Mean Time or GMT
time).
The time data also included in the file names of the
download files is in UTC time.

Note: The file names of the download files are
determined by the EU member states.
The name of the files stored on the DLKPro depends on
the configuration settings saved on the DLKPro. You
can modify the settings on the Options tab in the
Configuration module; see page 34.
