1.2. Areas of applications
Dispensing
Typical examples of high quality and highly dynamic dispensing requirements appear in the area of
pharmaceutics, medicine, and biotechnology. So far, only low viscous media could be dispensed due to the
nozzle and valve technologies being mainly made for the intake and output of analysis fluids in micro-titter
plates.
Micro adhesion
The wide field of adhesives, which has become increasingly significant, especially during the past years,
experiences an additional dynamic by the enlargement in the direction of micro-adhesion. As there have
been only time-consuming contact techniques, delivering smallest adhesive drops, the micro dispensing of
adhesive products is accelerated by the elimination of feed motion in z-direction in terms of high
multiplication.
Micro lubrication
In the fine mechanics appliance area, components and devices – for example mechanical clocks or small
gears of hard drives – the exact dispensing of lubricants in micro dispensing techniques represents a
considerable progress to accelerate the production process. In such cases, we talk about micro lubricating.
Micro marking
In the area of marking technologies in industrial processes, the Microdispensing System MDS 3000 family
is the ideal addition to automated marking within individual processes. The marks are applied contactless
with high speed and precision to parts, which are often extremely small-sized.
