2. Important Information
For security reasons the MicroDispensing System MDS 3000 and its necessary accessories should only be
operated by competent, specially trained personnel, which have read and understood this user manual
and have the necessary knowledge about the possible dangers.
Each person being involved in the installation or the maintenance of this system has to be qualified for
such jobs.
2.1. General
Pay attention to the danger and safety data sheets of the liquids you dispense.
Wear protective clothing, face protection, glasses and gloves when dispensing aggressive, reactive or toxic
fluids.

2.2. Specified normal operation
 Additional heating may only be carried out with a heating system by VERMES MICRODISPENSING.
 You can use a MicroDispensing System MDS 3010A/MDS 3020A under laboratorial or production
environment.
 You have to follow provided highest frequencies (up to 450 Hz) and parameter settings.
 You have to follow the dictated maintenance rates.
 You should avoid the use of media, which affect the functioning of the MicroDispensing System.
2.3. Technical details
 The use of a MicroDispensing System MDS 3010A/MDS 3020A is only allowed inside and up until
a level of 2000 m above sea level.
 Relative humidity: maximum 80 % at 31 °C, decreasing linear until 50 % at 50 °C.
 Fluctuation of the line voltage is not allowed over ±10 % of the nominal voltage.
 Transient over voltage according to IEC 60364-4-443 will be tolerated: degree of pollution II is
allowed.
 The employed power cords have to be accompanied by a grounding equipment conductor. The
used power sockets have to be within safety regulations. When using cables that are not supplied
by VERMES MICRODISPENSING the warranty of the MicroDispensing System MDS 3010A/MDS
3020A will only range until the operator interface.
 During installation and operation, you need to provide sufficient air circulation: minimum distance
above and below the system are 1.5 cm. VERMES MICRODISPENSING advises a separate housing
which is according to fire preventing covering EN 61010-1.
 During the usage of a heated system, note that the tangible surfaces can be hot and lead to
severe burns.
 The offered safety by the apparatus can be affected by using parts/units not advised by VERMES
MICRODISPENSING. The same is true for the usage of dangerous substances or the operation in
an explosive environment, for which the MicroDispensing System MDS 3010A/MDS 3020A is not
designed.
