1.5. Compatibility with earlier product lines
This manual describes the handling of MicroDispensing Systems 3010A and 3020A.
This product line is characterized by a series of additional functions.
 AutoID: The calibration data are recorded by a memory chip. The valve logs in automatically
into the control unit MDC 3090A.
 Cycle Count: The number of the dispensing cycles is counted and saved in the valve. Individual
maintenance concepts can be used depending on the dispensing process. The number of the
dispensing cycles can be read out by the serial interface RS232.
 Protection: The function „valve not present” aborts dispensing pulses when no connection
between the valve and the control unit is present. Therefore the MDC 3090A is protected.
 Advanced timing: The time base of the MDC 3090A-FD is much more precise than of the MDC
3090-L. In general it is necessary to readjust the previous dispensing parameters.
