2.4. Safety instructions
Check whether all fluid box connections are attached and sealed.
Attention!!!
Make sure all connections and connectors are mounted according to instructions and all components
are specified for use with the intended pressure.
Attention!!!
Make sure the supply pressure does not exceed the admissible range (depending on the configuration
either 5 bar or 7 bar).
Attention!!!
Make sure the maximum possible system pressure ranges between the valve limit and the connection
supplies limit - in no case above it.
Attention!!!
Regulate the pressure of your pressure supply before pressure admission.
Attention!!!
Too high pressures are dangerous. EXPLOSION HAZARD!
Check whether all electrical connections are attached, locked and screwed.
Attention!!!
The triggering of dispensing impulses without connection to the Microdispensing Valve may lead to
extreme voltage transients due to the high inductivities. This may ultimately cause a dangerous
flashover voltage and damage the control unit.
Attention!!!
The control unit may only be switched on when a valve is connected to it. Otherwise there will be
damages to the valve and the control unit.
In reference to the security the MicroDispensing Systems MDS 3010A/MDS 3020A and their necessary
accessories should be used only by competent, special trained personnel.
2.5. Starting
Avoid fast changes between on and off state. The control unit takes time to shut down the system without
voltage.
Attention!!!
Switching the control unit on and off in a fast way may cause damage to the control unit and the valve.
Avoid this kind of fast voltage changes.
In case you get an error during start-up, please refer to chapter 6.5.3.
