Check oil level
Turn the engine off.
The dipstick is located on the starboard
side of the engine.
Oil level
The oil level must be at or near the upper
mark on the dipstick*. If necessary top up
with the same brand and type of oil.
*) The difference between the two oil level
marks is:
M2.C5, M2.D5, M2.06 : 1,0 litres
(1 3/4 UKpt)
M3.09 : 1,8 litres
(3 1/4 UKpt)
Topping up oil
The oil filling cap is on top of the the valve
cover,.
A second oil filling cap is located at the
distrubution cover, see page 12.
Maintenance
Checking engine oil level
Daily, before starting.
