For applications with seawater or brine, stainless steel 316L may not be corrosion resistant enough, in this
case we would like to point out that we have an extensive series of UV systems with an irradiation chamber
made of HDPE for this type of application.
Up to a chloride content of up to 800 mg/l in the water to be treated, an irradiation chamber of stainless
steel 316L can usually be used.
It is not permitted to allow a liquid to flow through the reactor, or to add additives to the water to be treated,
which may have a negative effect on corrosion or degradation of the materials used. This to prevent
dangerous situations, damage to the reactor and surrounding installations and/or flora and fauna.
