Storage
When the season is over, the machine should be prepared for storage:
Carry out the following:
• Clean the machine thoroughly.
»Cleaning« page 72
• Change the oil in all the machine's transmissions.
»Lubricants« page 170
• The hydraulic quick coupling should either be covered with a dust
cap or placed in a small plastic bag.
• The PTO shaft should be cleaned, oiled and stored somewhere dry
so as to avoid damage or corrosion.
• Always make sure that the machine's safety equipment is not worn
out or damaged.
• Bleed extra hydraulic pressure in cylinders and hoses as much as
possible.
• Place the machine in a ventilated machine room.
• Both of the machine's wheel axles should be supported on blocks
so that the wheels are lifted off the ground.
Safety
The machine shall be secured when parked
The machine shall be properly secured when parked in storage.
Properly secured machines prevent serious accidents.
If the machine is not properly secured when parked, serious injuries
and death can result.
When parking you must therefore make sure that:
• The machine is parked upon a stable, horizontal surface.
• The machine shall be secured against rolling.
• Persons must not be allowed near the machine.
