Similarly, inserting the measuring leads is prevented when the battery and fuse covers are open.
Measuring in damp rooms or under unfavourable ambient conditions is not permitted. Unfavourable
ambient conditions are: Moisture or high air humidity, dust and fl ammable gases, fumes or solvents,
thunderstorms or thunderstorm conditions like strong electrostatic fi elds, etc.
Only use measuring leads or accessories which are adjusted to the specifi cations of the multimeter
when measuring.
Unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the device are inadmissible because of safety and
approval reasons (CE). Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the
product and lead to associated risks such as short-circuit, fi re, electric shock, etc. Please read the

4. SYMBOL EXPLANATION
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important instructions in this operating manual

CAT II Overvoltage category II for measurements on electric and electronic devices connected
to the mains supply with a mains plug. This category also covers all lower categories (e.g.
