If the handset ringer volume is set to off, the handset is silenced for all incoming calls
except paging tone.
To adjust the telephone base ringer volume:
Press /VOL/ on the telephone base when idle.
Temporary Ringer Silencing
When the telephone is ringing, you can temporarily silence the ringer without
disconnecting the call. The next call rings normally at the preset volume.
Press MUTE, MUTE, CANCEL, or on the handset or telephone base. The
