vehiclesandcarryouttheinstallation.
TailGUARD™isasystemformonitoringtheareabehindvehicleswhichisautomaticallyactivatedwhenreversegear
isengaged.TailGUARD™wasinitiallydevelopedfortrailers.Thesystemisalsoinstalledontowingvehiclesand
busesformonitoringtheareabehindthevehiclewhenreversingwiththeaidofultrasonicsensors.
Ifthesystemdetectsanobstacleintheintendedpathoftravel,itacousticallyandopticallyindicatesthedistanceto
thedriver.Whenthevehiclereachesadenedminimumdistancetotheobject,thevehiclecanbestoppedbyan
automaticactuationofthebrakingsystem.
