7.8 FLUSH FUNCTION
The EPG-SPRINT XE control unit has two dierent ush functions:
- Hose Flush Function
- Cleaning Flush Function
7.8.1 HOSE FLUSH FUNCTION
This function blows dosing air through the powder feed hose and spray guns when the
powder ow is switched o (manual guns - releasing of trigger lever, automatic guns-
signal from controller).
This function is set to the "OFF" parameter value in the factory. The values can be changed
in the parameter settings for parameters C22 and C23 (see Device Conguration chapter).
7.8.2 CLEANING FLUSH FUNCTION
This function is used at the end of a shift or during a change in color. All parts carrying
powder are ushed. The ush process is as described below:
First the atomizing air is activated. After around 0.5 seconds, the feed and dosing air are
added, increasing all the time. After a total of 2.5 seconds, the feed and dosing air ush in
pulses while the atomizing air remains constant throughout.
The cleaning ush function is only available when the control unit is switched on and in
the operating mode. In standby mode or in conguration mode, this function is inactive.
