4.1.2 Choke
This lever opens and closes the choke on the carburetor.

• Slide the lever to the right to close the choke when starting
a cold engine.
• Slide it to the left gradually to open the choke as the engine
warms. Always slide the choke fully to the left when
operating the machine.
4.1.3 Throttle
This lever controls engine speed.

• Slide the lever to the left to increase engine speed and
right to decrease. Always operate the chipper at full engine
speed.
