  Your Water Ace Water Pump might run but not deliver water for several reasons. The check valve could be installed backward; make sure the arrow on the valve points in the direction of flow. The discharge shut-off valve, if you're using one, might be closed, so check that it's open. The pump could be air-locked; try starting and stopping it several times by plugging and unplugging the cord. The impeller or volute openings could be clogged, or the inlet holes in the pump base could be obstructed; in either case, remove the pump and clean the affected parts. Finally, the vertical pumping distance might be too high; reduce the distance or resize the pump.

The pump impeller might be partially clogged with foreign matter, causing the motor to run slowly and overload; in this case, remove the pump and clean it. The fuse size or circuit breaker may be too small; ensure the fuse size is 15 amps. Also, the impeller or volute openings may be fully or partially clogged, requiring you to remove the pump and clean it.

  If your Water Ace Water Pump doesn't run or hums, check the following: Ensure the line circuit breaker is on, or replace any blown or loose fuses. Confirm the water level in the sump reaches the turn-on level as indicated in the installation drawing. Check the pump cord connection in the receptacle to ensure it's making contact. Also, make sure the float operates freely in the basin. If all these are okay, the motor winding may be open.
