ATTENTION
Shaft locking device must remain
installed during transport and
handling and only be removed when
the motor is in vertical position.
ATTENTION
Use of belt slings is preferential to
avoid damage in paint and
accessories.
HANDLING TUBE COOLED
MOTORS
4.2.1. HORIZONTAL MOTORS
The eyebolts attached to endshields, fan cover, etc,
should be used to handle these specific
components only. The complete motor should be
lifted only by the eyebolts in the frame.

4.2.2. VERTICAL MOTORS

The handling of the WEG vertical motors must be
done as as showed in the Figure 4-5.
Always use the 4 eyebolts for motors movement in
vertical position, therefore the lifting chains or
cables can also stay in the vertical position avoiding
thus awful efforts to the eyebolts.
4.2.3. VERTICAL TUBE COOLED MOTORS
POSITIONING
The WEG tube cooled motors are supplied with 8
eyebolts for lifting, being 4 at the front part and 4 at
the back of the motors.
Some motors are carried in the horizontal position
and need to be moved to the running position.
The procedure below should be followed when
handling vertical mounting motors from the
horizontal to vertical position and vice-versa.
