Checking Valve
1. Check the contact surface of the valve face and valve seat for
damage. Minor or rough surface may be repaired with a valve
grinder.
2. If the valve stem is worn, damaged, bent or the end surface of the
stem is dented, replace the valve.
3. Check the valve stem diameter with a micrometer; if the wear
exceeds the limit, replace the valve.
