Why is the air coming out of my Whynter ARC-14SH not cold enough?
If the air coming out of your Whynter Air Conditioner isn't very cold, or the airflow is weak, start by cleaning the air filters, as they may be dirty or obstructed. Ensure there's at least 20" of clearance from the air intake and that the exhaust hose is as short as possible. Check that the unit is set to the cooling mode and not DRY or FAN, and increase the fan speed.
Why Whynter ARC-14SH unit does not heat?
The heat pump of the Whynter Air Conditioner does not operate when the temperature is below 45F. Press the MODE button until the HEAT light is shown on the display. Give the compressor 3 minutes to turn on after the Heating mode has been selected. Set the air conditioner to a higher temperature, it is recommended to set the temperature to at least 5F of the ambient temperature. Either manually drain the water by removing the drain plug or allow the unit to exhaust the water itself by running the fan only mode. The cooling will resume.
How to reduce noise from my Whynter ARC-14SH?
If your Whynter Air Conditioner is making a lot of noise, make sure it is placed on a hard, level, and stable surface. If the surface underneath is uneven, move the unit to a level and hard floor. Ensure the wall outlet supports the power consumption and avoid using an extension cord.
