About Link 1000 Settings
The Link 1000 is designed to operate out of the box, and
except when noted, you shouldn’t need to change the default
settings. (The default settings are listed on page 53.)
Probable Changes
You will probably need to change the default settings for:
• Battery capacity (page 23)
• Battery type (page 23)
Possible Changes
You may need to change the default settings for:
• Ambient temperature if your inverter/charger doesn’t
have a battery temperature sensor (page 24).
•Power sharing (page 27)
Other Settings
Review this chapter completely to determine whether you
need to change any other settings in order to monitor and
control your battery system.
How to Enter Setup Mode and Change a Value
You must be in Setup mode to change settings.
To enter Setup mode and change a value:
1. Press and hold
SET until SEL appears in the display
(about three seconds). This puts you in Setup mode.
2. Press
SEL until you reach the function you want.
3. Once you have selected the function you want, hold or
repeatedly press
SET to change the value.
4. Release
SET when the value you want appears. After five
to ten seconds, the display returns to normal. This
indicates that the setting you chose is now stored in
memory.
