Check the condition of the toner cartridge and replace it if necessary.

Too much static electricity may be present, so try a new ream of paper and do not fan transparencies before loading in the tray. Ensure you are using only Xerox approved paper. Humidity may be too high for coated paper, in which case you should feed paper one sheet at a time.

The printer may be connected to a power strip shared with other high-power devices; plug the printer directly into the outlet or into a power strip that is not shared with other high-power devices.

One of the printer doors may be open, so check the doors on the printer and close any door that is open. The rear door interlock switch may not be reset, so to reset the interlock switch and clear the paper jam message, open and close the back door.

  To resolve label and envelope misfeeds on your Xerox All in One Printer, ensure the label sheet is facing the correct way in the tray. Load label sheets according to the instructions from the manufacturer, face up in either tray. If envelopes are misfeeding, load No. 10, DL, and Monarch envelopes in the trays with the print side up, flaps closed, flap-side down, and the short edge leading into the printer. Load C5 envelopes with the print side up, flaps open and facing away from the printer. To prevent wrinkling on No. 10, DL, C5, or Monarch envelopes, load them print side up, flaps open and facing away from the printer. When you load envelopes long-edge feed, ensure that you specify landscape orientation in the print driver.

  If you observe blotchy or mottled images from your Xerox All in One Printer, the paper may be too light or too thin. Choose a different paper type at the control panel, in the application, and in the print driver. The bias transfer roller voltage may be insufficient for the paper type, so increase the bias transfer voltage for the selected paper type. The fuser may not be adjusted for the paper type, so adjust the fuser. The paper may be damp, so replace the paper. The relative humidity of the room may be too high, so reduce the humidity in the room or move the printer to a new location.
