Overwriting Image Data
Image data is any in-process or temporary user data on the hard drive, such as current jobs, queued jobs,
temporary files, saved jobs, and saved folders. To ensure that image data on the printer hard drive
cannot be accessed, you can delete and overwrite image data.

Enabling Immediate Job Overwrite
Immediate Job Overwrite removes any remnants of print, copy, scan, and fax jobs from the image disk
as soon as the job finishes processing.
Note: Immediate Job Overwrite is the preferred setting for high-security environments.
To enable Immediate Job Overwrite:
1. In CentreWare Internet Services, click Properties>Security.
2. Click Image Overwrite Security.
3. Click the Immediate Image Overwrite tab.
4. Select Enabled.
5. Click Apply.

Enabling Immediate Job Overwrite at the Control Panel
1. At the printer control panel, press the Machine Status button, then touch the Tools tab.
2. Touch Security Settings>Job Overwrite Security.
3. Touch Enable.
4. Touch OK.

Disk Overwrite Modes
Full Overwrite mode overwrites all user stored data from hard disks. Full disk overwrite takes
approximately 60 minutes to complete.
Standard Overwrite mode deletes all image data from the printer memory and hard drive, except:
• Jobs and folders stored in the Reprint Saved Jobs feature
• Jobs stored in the Scan to Mailbox feature
• Fax Dial Directories
• Fax Mailbox contents
Standard image overwrite takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
