Tiller Handle
1. Remove (for 70hp model) the steering hook
1.
NOTE:Use the removed nut for handle installa-
tion.
2. Install the tiller handle assembly 2 and nut
3.
T orque: 38N m ( 3.8m-kg, 2 7 ft-lb.)
3. Install the following:
1 Grommet
2 Throttle Cable
3 Shift Cable
4 Extension Wire Harness
5 Main Switch Wire Leads
6 Battery Leads
7 Power Trim/Tilt Switch Leads
NOTE:
a. Pass the wire harness and remote control
cables through the grommet, and refit the
grommet.
b. Fit the cable clamp 7 to the outer remote
control cables.
c. Align the taped end
a of the battery lead
and the extension wire harness with the
end of the grommet.
4. Install the fitting plate 1 and bolt 2.
NOTE:After installing the fitting plate, lift
the tiller handle straight up.
T orque: 8N m ( 0.8m-kg, 5.8ft-lb.)
