Why Yamaha DSP-AZ1 remote control does not work?
    • K
      kimberly87Aug 25, 2025
If the Yamaha Amplifier remote control isn't working, first ensure you are within 6 meters (20 feet) and within 30 degrees of the front panel. Reposition the unit if direct sunlight or lighting is interfering with the remote sensor. Replace weak batteries with new ones and press RESET. Verify that the manufacturer code is correctly set. If issues persist, program the functions independently using the Learn feature.

What to do if Yamaha Amplifier has no sound and/or no picture?
    • J
      joseph01Aug 26, 2025
If your Yamaha Amplifier has no sound or picture, check the following: Ensure the input and output cables are correctly connected, replacing them if necessary. Select the appropriate input source using the INPUT SELECTOR or 6CH INPUT. Verify that the speaker connections are secure and the correct main speakers (A and/or B) are selected. Also, make sure the volume isn't turned down or muted. Confirm that the unit can reproduce the input signals and that the picture output and input use the same type of video jacks. Addressing these points should help resolve the issue.

Why does my Yamaha Amplifier sound suddenly go off?
    • L
      lsullivanAug 27, 2025
If the sound from your Yamaha Amplifier suddenly cuts off, it could be due to the protection circuit being activated by a short circuit. Check that the IMPEDANCE SELECTOR is correctly set and then turn the unit back on. It's also possible the sleep timer has activated, in which case you should turn the power back on and play the source again. Finally, ensure the unit isn't muted by pressing the MUTE button or any other operation button.

If you only hear sound from one speaker with your Yamaha Amplifier, check the cable connections to ensure they are properly connected; if the problem continues, the cables may be defective. Also, verify that the BALANCE setting is not turned to the extreme left or right; adjust it to the appropriate position.

      tiffanymyersSep 15, 2025

Why Yamaha DSP-AZ1 Amplifier has no sound from the rear center speaker?
    • D
      David HaleySep 5, 2025
If you're not getting any sound from the rear center speaker on your Yamaha Amplifier, first check that “1C REAR L/R SP” on the SET MENU is not set to “NONE”. If it is, selecting an appropriate speaker mode for the rear L/R speakers will resolve this, as the rear center speaker mode is automatically set to “NONE” when the rear L/R speakers are. If that's not the issue, ensure that “1D REAR CT SP” on the SET MENU is set to either “LRG” or “SML”.

If there is no sound from the rear speakers of your Yamaha Amplifier, check that “1C REAR L/R SP” on the SET MENU is not set to “NONE”. Select the appropriate speaker mode for the rear L/R speakers. If a monaural source is being played with the program 12, select another DSP program.
