Why does my Yamaha Amplifier sound suddenly go off?

  If the sound from your Yamaha Amplifier suddenly cuts off, it could be due to the protection circuit being activated by a short circuit. Check that the IMPEDANCE SELECTOR is correctly set and then turn the unit back on. It's also possible the sleep timer has activated, in which case you should turn the power back on and play the source again. Finally, ensure the unit isn't muted by pressing the MUTE button or any other operation button.

What to do if Yamaha Amplifier has no sound and/or no picture?

  If your Yamaha Amplifier has no sound or picture, check the following: Ensure the input and output cables are correctly connected, replacing them if necessary. Select the appropriate input source using the INPUT SELECTOR or 6CH INPUT. Verify that the speaker connections are secure and the correct main speakers (A and/or B) are selected. Also, make sure the volume isn't turned down or muted. Confirm that the unit can reproduce the input signals and that the picture output and input use the same type of video jacks. Addressing these points should help resolve the issue.

Why Yamaha DSP-AZ1 remote control does not work?

  If the Yamaha Amplifier remote control isn't working, first ensure you are within 6 meters (20 feet) and within 30 degrees of the front panel. Reposition the unit if direct sunlight or lighting is interfering with the remote sensor. Replace weak batteries with new ones and press RESET. Verify that the manufacturer code is correctly set. If issues persist, program the functions independently using the Learn feature.
