DISASSEMBLING THE CARBURETOR
Remove:
Float pin

Float

Needle valve
NOTE:
Tap float pin
1
in the direction of arrow

and in the reverse
direction with a pin to remove.
CHECKING THE CARBURETOR
NOTE:
Before disassembling the carburetor, make
sure to note the number of times the pilot
screw is turned out from the seated
position to its set position.
CAUTION:
Do not use steel-wire for cleaning the jets.
This may enlarge the jet diameters and
seriously affect performance.
1. Check:
Carburetor body
Cracks/damage
Replace.
Contamination
Clean.
2. Check:
Needle valve
Pilot screw
Grooved wear
Replace.
3. Check:
Main nozzle
Main jet
Pilot jet
Contamination
Clean.
4. Check:
Float
Cracks/damage
Replace.
5. Check:
O-ring
Wear/cracks/damage
Replace.
