4. Check the actual status of the IP address and subnet mask.
a)
For Windows 2000
Select Start - Programs - Accessories - Command Prompt and enter “ipconfig” in the command line.
b)
For Windows XP
Select Start - Control Panel - Network Connections - Local Area Connection and click the Support tab.

5. If the displayed actual status differs from the settings made in step 3, restart the computer to enable
the settings made manually.
If they are the same as the settings made in step 3, press the Close button to complete the checking of
the IP address of the computer.
