2.5 Checking the Communication Process Settings
The procedure for checking the communication process settings of MPE720, and remedies, are given below.
1. Open the IP address confirmation window of the computer.
For details, refer to steps 1 and 2 in 2.3 Checking the IP Address of the Computer.
2. Start the communication process.
Note: This operation can be skipped if the communication process has already been started.
a)
For Windows 2000
Select Start - Programs - YE_Applications - Communication Manager.
b)
For Windows XP
Select Start - All Programs - YE_Applications - Communication Manager.
3. Double-click the communication process indicator in the task bar of the computer to display the Com-
munication Manager window.
4. Check that the Status field of MPE720 version 6 in the Communication Manager window shows
Ready.
•When the Status field does not show Ready
The LAN driver of the computer may be faulty.
Perform troubleshooting in the Device Manager window of Windows.
