      To reset your Yealink IP Phone, it's recommended to try all troubleshooting suggestions first. Contact your system administrator before resetting the phone. To reset via the phone user interface, go to Menu->Advanced (default password: admin) ->Reset&Reboot->Reset to Factory and press the OK soft key. The LCD screen prompts “Welcome Initializing…Please wait”. The phone will be reset to factory settings successfully after startup.

      The phone might play a hold tone every 30 seconds when a call is on hold. This feature is enabled by default and can be configured via the web user interface. The interval of playing a hold tone is also configurable via web user interface only.

      If you can't get a dial tone on your Yealink IP Phone, check for any loose connections and ensure the phone has been installed properly. You can also switch between the Handset, Headset (if present) or Hands-Free Speakerphone to check whether the dial tone is present for one of the audio modes. If the dial tone exists on another audio mode, connect a different handset or headset to isolate the problem.

      If the LCD screen on your Yealink IP Phone is blank, make sure that the phone is properly plugged into a functional AC outlet. Also, ensure that the phone is plugged into a socket controlled by a switch that is on. If plugged into a power strip, try plugging it directly into a wall outlet. If powered by PoE, ensure you are using a PoE-compliant switch or hub. Finally, check if the IP phone has entered power-saving mode.
