Chapter 13 Troubleshooting
NR7101 User’s Guide
99
Place the AP where there are minimum obstacles (such as walls and ceilings) between the AP and
the wireless client.
Reduce the number of wireless clients connecting to the same AP simultaneously, or add additional
APs if necessary.
Try closing some programs that use the Internet, especially peer-to-peer applications. If the wireless
client is sending or receiving a lot of information, it may have too many programs open that use the
Internet.

1 Make sure WiFi is enabled on the Zyxel Device. You can enable or disable the Zyxel Device’s WiFi
network using the SSID Setting on the Zyxel Device. See Section 1.5.4 on page 16.
2 Make sure the WiFi adapter (installed on your computer) is IEEE 802.11 compatible and supports the
same WiFi standard as the Zyxel Device’s active radio.
3 Make sure your device (with a WiFi adapter installed) is within the transmission range of the Zyxel Device.
4 Make sure you are using the correct WiFi network name and password to connect to your Zyxel Device.
Check your WiFi network settings by reexamining the network name Name (SSID) and/or Password in the
Web Configurator (Section 7.2 on page 60).
5 If you changed your network WiFi Name (SSID) and/or Password you will be automatically disconnected
from the Zyxel Device. Try reconnecting to the network wirelessly with the new network WiFi Name (SSID)
