LABEL DESCRIPTION
RIP Setup This section is not available when you configure the P-79X to be in bridge
mode.
RIP Direction Select the RIP direction from None, Both, In Only and Out Only.
RIP Version Select the RIP version from RIP-1, RIP-2B and RIP-2M.
MTU
MTU The Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) defines the size of the largest
packet allowed on an interface or connection. Enter the MTU in this field.
For ENET ENCAP, the MTU value is 1500.
For PPPoE, the MTU value is 1492.
For PPPoA and RFC, the MTU is 65535.
Packet Filter
Incoming Filter Sets
Protocol Filter Select the protocol filter(s) to control incoming traffic. You may choose up
to 4 sets of filters.
You can configure packet filters in the Packet Filter screen. See Chapter
12 on page 119 for more details.
Generic Filter Select the generic filter(s) to control incoming traffic. You may choose up
to 4 sets of filters.
You can configure generic filters in the Packet Filter screen. See Chapter
12 on page 119 for more details.
Outgoing Filter Sets
Protocol Filter Select the protocol filter(s) to control outgoing traffic. You may choose up
to 4 sets of filters.
You can configure protocol filters in the Packet Filter screen. See Chapter
12 on page 119 for more details.
