The PLA-401 v3 does not turn on. None of the lights turn on.
1 Make sure you are using the power cord included with the PLA-401 v3.
2 Make sure the power cord is connected to the PLA-401 v3 and plugged in to an
appropriate power source. Make sure the power source is turned on.
3 Disconnect and re-connect the power cord to the PLA-401 v3.
4 Remove the powerline adapter from the outlet. Then connect an electrical device
that you know works into the same power outlet. This checks the status of the
power outlet.
5 If the problem continues, contact the vendor.
The ETHERNET light does not turn on.
1 Check the hardware connections. See the Quick Start Guide.
2 Inspect your cables for damage. Contact the vendor to replace any damaged
cables.
3 Check the Ethernet adapter on your computer and make sure it’s enabled and
working properly.
4 If the PLA-401 v3 is connected to an Ethernet switch or router, make sure the
device is working correctly, and that the LAN network is working and configured
correctly as well.
The HomePlug light does not turn on.

401 v3s with the latest firmware cannot communicate with PLA-401 v3s using
earlier versions of the firmware. Go to Section 5.4 on page 38 for instructions on
installing the latest firmware.
